About Reditus Space

We build stuff that goes to space and back, we move fast and break stuff.

About the role

Location: Atlanta, GA (On-site)
Type: Full-time

About the Role
Reditus Space is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to support the design, integration, and evaluation of propulsion systems used in on-orbit operations and controlled reentry missions. This role involves working with high-performance chemical propulsion technologies, with a focus on compact, pressure-regulated systems suited for small spacecraft and reentry-class vehicles.

In this role, you will be responsible for propulsion component development, fluid system architecture, and thermal and structural integration. You’ll work closely with internal and external teams to ensure flight-critical performance, from concept through hardware testing and vehicle integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze liquid propulsion components including thrusters, valves, and feed systems
  • Support the development of thermally and structurally optimized propulsion assemblies using advanced manufacturing methods
  • Conduct system-level trade studies on propellants, feed configurations, and pressurization strategies
  • Lead or support ground testing campaigns, including hotfire testing and data analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with avionics, GNC, and structures teams on propulsion integration
  • Contribute to handling protocols, test procedures, and safety documentation related to propellants and propulsion operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 2+ years experience in propulsion systems (academic, professional, or hands-on project work)
  • Familiarity with pressure-fed liquid propulsion, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics
  • Experience working with metallic additive manufacturing, particularly for high-temperature components
  • Proficiency with CAD, FEA, and modeling tools for propulsion and fluid system design
  • Experience with propulsion system testing, hotfire campaigns, or ground support infrastructure is a plus

What We Value
We’re looking for engineers who think critically, move quickly, and are motivated by ownership. At Reditus, you’ll work on real hardware that flies, contribute to missions with real impact, and help define the future of reusable space systems.
