About Reditus Space

We build stuff that goes to space and back, we move fast and break stuff.

About the role

Location: Atlanta, GA (In-Person)
Duration: 4 Months
Team: Engineering | Mission: ENOS

About the Role
Reditus Space is seeking a Flight Software Engineering Intern to support the development of embedded software systems for the ENOS spacecraft — our reusable reentry vehicle enabling microgravity manufacturing. This role involves writing and testing real-time, safety-critical code for onboard control, telemetry, and command handling, interfacing closely with hardware and subsystem teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test embedded flight software for satellite operations
  • Implement telemetry, command, and data handling protocols
  • Write robust, safety-critical code in accordance with aerospace standards
  • Participate in system integration, simulation, and flight-readiness testing
  • Debug and resolve software issues related to spacecraft subsystems
  • Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and version control workflows
  • Support ground validation of software and hardware-in-the-loop testing

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • Proficient in C/C++; strong understanding of embedded systems and real-time programming
  • Experience with RTOS environments and familiarity with flight software frameworks (e.g., cFS, F Prime)
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and configuration management tools (e.g., Git)
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to debugging in mission-critical environments
  • Basic understanding of spacecraft system architectures is preferred

Why Reditus Space?
You’ll gain end-to-end experience in building flight-critical systems and collaborate with seasoned aerospace engineers on a mission launching real space hardware. High-performing interns will be considered for full-time roles after the internship.
