Job Overall Review:

As a Brand Monitoring Specialist, you will safeguard brands by identifying, analyzing, and enforcing against online threats, including fake or phishing websites, unauthorized content, and intellectual property (IP) infringements. You will monitor multiple platforms, conduct investigations, and collaborate with stakeholders to protect brand integrity.

What You’ll DO:

  • Social Media awareness: proficiency in searching across social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others. Understand how to submit complaints and follow up across the platforms.
  • Data analysis: strong analytical skills to determine if the post or article is violating brand or if phishing threats exist.
  • Adaptability: Stay updated with new social technology and trends and be able to identify cybersecurity use cases for effective brand monitoring
  • Brand Knowledge: A solid understanding of WIPO global database to identify the Brand’s registered IP rights in the respective geolocation.
  • Time management: Able to prioritize tasks, monitoring platforms efficiently and responding to customer queries or issues promptly.
  • Communication skills: clear and concise communication. Able to articulate findings, insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders. Excellent writing skills to craft complaints to platforms
  • Good understanding of web research
  • Understanding IP rights
  • Should be aware of the Internet domain i.e., social media platforms, domain registration, registrant, registrar. Should be proficient in secondary research and due diligence.
  • Ability to interpret website-specific information.
  • Knowledge of office productivity tools like MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Investigate & Analyse - Dive into digital space and identify the fake/phishing, unauthorized 3rd party websites, and social media platforms to spot infringing content. Your sharp eye for detail will be key in identifying unauthorized use of our clients' intellectual property.
  • Execute Enforcement - Collaborate with online platforms, e-commerce sites, and registrar/hosting providers to initiate takedown procedures. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring our clients' rights stays protected.
  • Collaborative Support – Partner with Client Management teams to align on brand monitoring objectives, providing timely insights and updates on brand-related issues and threats.
  • Trend Analysis & Reporting – Analyze monitoring data and enforcement reports to identify emerging trends, unusual activities, or reputational risks, supporting the continuous refinement of monitoring strategies.
  • Strategic Recommendations – Contribute to strategy development by proposing improvements in brand monitoring focus, investigative priorities, and enforcement workflows based on real-time findings.
  • Agility & Innovation – Embrace shifting priorities and program-specific needs with flexibility, proactively introducing new ideas and tools to optimize brand monitoring processes.

What You’ll Need:

  • Candidates with a background in Brand monitoring/protection, Research, or Data Analysis (minimum 1-2 years) are highly valued.
