About Firecrawl

Firecrawl is the easiest way to extract data from the web. Developers use us to reliably convert URLs into LLM-ready markdown or structured data with a single API call. We crossed 19k GitHub stars in just 6 months and have had paying customers since day one.

Previously, we built Mendable, one of the first commercially available “chat with your data” applications. We sold to companies like MongoDB, Coinbase, Snapchat, and more. To do this, we spent a surprising amount of time building reliable infrastructure for getting clean data from the web. When we started to see our founding friends rebuilding the same thing, we thought we might be on to something.

About Firecrawl 🔥

In just a year, we’ve hit millions in ARR and 40k+ GitHub stars by building the fastest way for developers to get LLM-ready data. We’re a small, fast-moving team building essential tools for the AI era. We value autonomy, clarity, and shipping fast.

The Role

We’re looking for a Design Engineer who can take ideas from rough sketches to production-ready pages. You’ll own the look, feel, and experience of Firecrawl across our entire platform. From the core product UI to docs, playgrounds, and marketing pages. If you care about motion, precision, and performance, you’ll thrive here.

What You’ll Do

  • Build beautiful, fast UIs using Next.js, Tailwind, and Framer Motion
  • Create and optimize product pages and interactive playgrounds
  • Maintain and scale our internal design system across all surfaces
  • Own UX and polish across marketing, docs, and app interfaces
  • Collaborate directly with founders to ship high-impact features
  • Lead proof-of-concept work for new ideas and experiences

Who You Are

  • A builder with a sharp eye and strong sense of motion and interaction
  • Experienced in going from concept → polished product independently
  • Strong with Next.js, Tailwind, and Framer Motion
  • Obsessed with great UX
  • Comfortable working quickly in a fast-moving, high-trust team

Bonus Points

  • Shipped live projects with real users
  • Experience across brand, web, and interactive design

Why Firecrawl

  • Creative ownership – You’ll shape how the world sees and uses Firecrawl
  • Real impact – Your work touches every user-facing surface
  • High velocity – We ship fast, and your work goes live fast
  • Small team, big ambition – Work closely with founders and make key decisions
Interview Process

1. Application Review – Send us your portfolio, GitHub, and a quick note on why you're excited
2. 15-min Intro Chat – Quick alignment call with the CTO
3. Portfolio Walkthrough or Take-Home (2–3 hrs) – Show us your work or tackle a small challenge
4. Interview with Founders – Culture, vision, and long-term fit
5. Paid Work Trial (1-2 weeks) – Work on something real with us
6. Decision – We move fast
