The easiest way to extract AI ready data from the web
About Firecrawl
Firecrawl is the easiest way to extract data from the web. Developers use us to reliably convert URLs into LLM-ready markdown or structured data with a single API call. We crossed 19k GitHub stars in just 6 months and have had paying customers since day one.
Previously, we built Mendable, one of the first commercially available “chat with your data” applications. We sold to companies like MongoDB, Coinbase, Snapchat, and more. To do this, we spent a surprising amount of time building reliable infrastructure for getting clean data from the web. When we started to see our founding friends rebuilding the same thing, we thought we might be on to something.
About the role
About Firecrawl 🔥
In just a year, we've crossed 40k GitHub stars and hit millions in ARR. How? By building the simplest way for developers to get LLM-ready data. We're a small, fast-moving team creating essential tools for the next wave of AI. We value autonomy, direct communication, and shipping quickly.
The Role
We're looking for a Chief of Staff to be a true partner to the CEO and a force multiplier for our entire team. Your job is to make us all more effective.
What You'll Do
-
Make us faster. You'll spot operational bottlenecks and enjoy fixing them.
-
Handle what's new. You'll lead important, often undefined projects from start to finish. That could mean finding our first office or running a company-wide initiative. We'll count on you to get it done.
-
Be our first line of defense. When new operational or legal questions pop up, you'll dig in, figure them out, and know when to call in the experts.
-
Protect the CEO's time. You'll thoughtfully manage the calendar to ensure focus stays on the things that matter most.
-
Automate everything. If you see a clunky manual process, you'll be excited to write a script or find a tool to improve it.
-
Help us hire. You'll help us find, recruit, and welcome great people to our team.
Who You Are
-
You're in the Bay Area. This is an on-site/hybrid role.
-
You're masterfully organized. You can happily juggle complex projects and never miss a beat.
-
You're a proactive problem-solver. You see what needs doing and jump on it, even when the path isn't perfectly clear. You have a strong bias for action.
-
You're technical. You don't have to be a senior engineer, but you should be comfortable with code. Your GitHub will show us what you can do.
-
You understand leverage. You get excited about finding ways to make a team, and an executive, more efficient.
-
You're a fast learner. You can quickly get up to speed on new things, whether it’s a legal puzzle or a new software tool.
-
You're a clear communicator. You write and speak well.
-
You're trustworthy. You'll be handling sensitive information with integrity.
-
You love the startup world. You thrive in the fast-paced, dynamic environment of a growing company.
You'll really stand out if you've:
- Built something with real users.
- A knack for picking up new technical skills.
- A proven history of getting things done.
- A background in legal or operations.
- Experience with CRMs, task managers, or coding platforms.
- Use AI in your daily life.
Why Join Firecrawl?
-
Autonomy. We'll trust you to own your work.
-
Growth. You'll get a front-row seat to see how a high-growth startup is built in the age of AI
-
Team. We're a small, honest, and supportive crew that genuinely cares about what we're building together.
