Hona is seeking an experienced Backend Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling software systems that integrate seamlessly with CRMs and the Hona Client App for service businesses. You will be responsible for owning and delivering projects from start to finish with little to no oversight to rapidly deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. In addition, as a staff engineer, you will help guide the overall architecture of Hona’s Tech stack.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain software systems using Typescript, AWS, Docker, and Node/Express.
• Work with little to no oversight to rapidly deliver software solutions and track performance metrics.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and system testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Identify and address performance and scalability issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find simple solutions to complex problems and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Work with business stakeholders to find technical solutions to business objectives.
• Train and mentor other engineers to improve their designs and apply best practices.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Typescript, AWS, Docker, and Node/Express.
• Strong proficiency in building, maintaining, and scaling data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Database design and best practices
• Experience with Temporal.io is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly troubleshoot technical issues.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment with little oversight.
• Ability to own a project with a high level of ambiguity from start to finish.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (Technical English)
