About Conduit

We're on a mission to deploy conversational AI agents to drive business outcomes.

Customer conversations are the backbone of every business. Conduit turns them into an engine to optimize conversions, revenue, and cost savings.

We're starting with housing and hospitality, where communication is the operation. Leasing, onboarding, scheduling, retention—it all runs on conversations. Conduit handles text and voice conversations with AI agents that perform like your best employee, but faster, more intelligent, and always on, while knowing exactly when to bring in a human.

About the role

We’re on the hunt for a Growth Lead who can act like an entrepreneur within our startup. This role is tailor-made for a former founder or a versatile operator who loves rolling up their sleeves to drive growth from all angles. You will work directly with Conduit’s founders to conceive and execute experiments that accelerate our revenue, user adoption, and market footprint. From hacking new acquisition channels, to optimizing conversion funnels, to launching initiatives we haven’t even thought of yet, you’ll be at the forefront of it all. If you have a “whatever-it-takes” mindset, a knack for both strategy and execution, and the ability to turn zero-to-one ideas into reality, you’ll thrive in this position.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and execute growth strategy: Identify the most leveraged opportunities for Conduit’s next stage of growth. This could range from spearheading entry into a new industry vertical, to testing a product-led growth motion, to experimenting with creative marketing campaigns.

  • Full-funnel optimization: Dive into our metrics across the customer lifecycle – from lead generation and website conversion, to trial usage (if applicable), to onboarding and retention. You’ll pinpoint drop-offs or inefficiencies and coordinate cross-functional efforts to improve them.

  • Launch new channels & partnerships: Explore and establish new channels for customer acquisition and brand awareness. For example, you might pilot a webinar series, initiate a referral program, partner with industry associations, or spin up targeted digital ad campaigns.

  • Special projects & firefights: Step into whatever high-priority project needs an owner. This could be anything from crunching analysis on customer segmentation to improving our onboarding flow.

  • Build and lead (eventually): As we learn what growth strategies pay off, you’ll help formalize these functions. Down the line, you could hire or lead teams (e.g., performance marketing, business development) once you’ve proven out the playbooks.

Who You Are

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: You’ve founded a company or been an early employee at a startup, and you’re comfortable wearing many hats.

  • Growth track record: You have 5+ years experience across some mix of growth, marketing, business operations, or product. More importantly, you can point to things you’ve personally implemented that moved the needle (campaigns, product changes, partnerships, etc).

  • Strategic + hands-on: You can zoom out to see the big picture and identify strategic priorities, then dive into the trenches to execute. Whether that means writing copy for an email drip or segmenting data in Excel, you’re willing and able to do it.

  • Data-savvy decision maker: You love to experiment and measure. You base decisions on evidence when available, and you define clear metrics of success for your projects.

  • Creative problem solver: You come up with unconventional ideas and aren’t afraid to try something new. When one channel or approach isn’t working, you pivot quickly. You combine creative marketing instincts with a test-and-learn mentality.

  • Strong communicator and leader: You can inspire others with your vision and rally people around an initiative. You communicate clearly with execs, team members, and external partners alike. Over time, you have the potential to build and lead a team as our growth efforts expand.

Conduit is an in-person team based in San Francisco and works together in the office five days a week.
