About Phonely

Phonely is building the platform layer for AI voice automation. Every day, millions of phone calls are made to businesses, from scheduling appointments to answering questions to routing to the right department. We believe AI will soon handle most of those conversations, and we’re working to make that transition possible.

Our platform helps companies build, deploy, and manage AI voice agents that can reliably replace human phone reps. To do that well, we’ve built infrastructure from the ground up, real-time voice pipelines, custom-tuned LLMs, observability tools, and no-code conversation editors to ensure performance that scales.

We’re backed by Y Combinator and other top investors, growing quickly through a mix of inbound and enterprise interest. Our customers range from startups to large enterprise groups moving thousands of calls per day through our system.

Why this role

We’re looking to bring on an Account Executive to help us meet growing demand. You’ll be joining early, helping shape both the sales motion and the customer experience. This is a cross-functional role: you’ll work directly with our CEO, product team, and early customers to build a sales foundation that scales.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Managing the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to signed contract
  • Running discovery with business and technical buyers (heads of support, IT leaders, contact center ops)
  • Qualifying inbound leads and identifying where Phonely can provide real value
  • Working outbound to build relationships with target accounts
  • Collaborating with product and engineering to feed back customer insights
  • Helping define our early sales process: messaging, metrics, tools, and structure
  • Participating in pricing, contracting, and security reviews when needed

What we’re looking for

  • 2–5 years of quota-carrying experience in a B2B SaaS environment
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience selling to both technical and business audiences
  • Strong communication skills and a curiosity-driven approach to customer needs
  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a small team
  • Familiarity with voice, AI, or CX tools is helpful but not required
