What is tax consulting? Good question. Tax consultants are tax experts that analyze one or two numbers that go on a company's tax return. For example, the R&D tax credit. The rules for the R&D tax credit are very complex and most accountants do not have the expertise to compute the credit. So a company will hire a tax expert to compute the R&D tax credit for the company. That's tax consulting.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, or Economics preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales to C-Suite executives
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools.
  • Familiarity with financial documents or basic tax-related terminology.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce, Outreach preferred).

  • Strong communication skills: Ability to clearly and confidently communicate complex topics via phone, email, virtual and in person meetings.
  • Coach-ability: Open to feedback and able to apply it quickly.
  • Curiosity: Genuinely interested in learning about clients’ businesses, their needs, and the industries we serve.
  • Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and remain motivated.
  • Quick Learner: Comfortable picking up technical and financial concepts quickly.

As a Business Development Director at SPRX, you will...

  • Identify qualified businesses through a variety of strategic prospecting methods.
  • Actively engage potential clients via phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other outreach channels.
  • Manage the full cycle sales process to close clients
  • Collaborate closely with Sr. leadership to prioritize target accounts, industries, and partnership opportunities.
  • Build meaningful relationships with business owners, executives and channel partnerships to uncover needs and align them with our services.
  • Maintain accurate records and track all outreach activities in our CRM system.
  • Represent SPRX with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to delivering value.

OTE (On Target Earnings) for this role is $250,000 - 375,000

Technology

Tax consultants perform their analysis in spreadsheets. This is a slow, inefficient process.

SPRX has developed artificial intelligence tools that speed up the process and improve quality. We have automated the data gathering process, the prediction process, and the report generation process. We automate the repeatable, mundane, low value tasks so the tax consultants can focus their time on high value analysis tasks.
