About the Role

Our team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help scale our Scribe product, an ambient solution for Automated Medical Documentation. If you love working on important, exciting problems in healthcare and love shipping quickly, you will love being here!

What You’ll Do

• Build end-to-end features to revolutionize our Scribe product

• Be a part of a tremendously fast-paced team that celebrates fast execution and decisions

• Work with a stack that includes Flutter, Python, Javascript, Vue, React, Flask, and other frameworks

What You Have

• At least 2 years of professional mobile and software development experience (must be comfortable with Python and Flutter, with at least 2 or more years of experience specifically with Flutter)

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience building mobile applications at scale, including testing, debugging, and performance optimization

• Excitement to work in a high-impact field with a builder attitude!

*Flutter Expertise *

• Proven experience with state management solutions (like Riverpod, Provider, or BloC)

• Strong understanding of CLEAN architecture principles in mobile development

• Ability to write efficient unit, widget, and integration tests in Flutter

• Expertise in building responsive and adaptive UI/UX for various mobile devices

• Familiarity with performance profiling and optimization techniques in Flutter

• Knowledge of Flutter animations, custom widgets, and plug-ins

*Mobile Development Skills*

• Experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android) or integrations (platform channels, native plugins)

• Knowledge of mobile app deployment processes (App Store, Google Play) and CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps

• Familiarity with mobile design patterns, SOLID principles, and dependency injection

• Experience building mobile applications at scale, including testing, debugging, and performance optimization

• Experience building production environments

• Attention to detail around user experience and customer needs

Machine Learning

Our device captures high resolution images of blood smears which we analyze using internally CNNs. Our networks are responsible for segmenting cells, classifying them, and deciding which images include valid and invalid samples. In addition, we have specially designed networks for classifying abnormal cells (blast cells, giant platelets, nucleated red blood cells) that require additional intervention.

Hardware

Our hardware stack includes custom objective lenses and image sensors to provide the optimal tradeoff for field of view and cell resolution. Our device includes an onboard linux processor, motor drivers, and a linear actuator for orienting and moving the sample. We are always looking to improve our imaging stack to provide more powerful images for analysis.

Clinic Product

We provide customers (clinics) a web-based interface for analyzing results, looking up patient history, and integrating directly with pharmacies. Our frontend is built entirely in react and redux.

Server API

Our APIs are built using flask and sqlalchemy with a postgres database. Our infrastructure is hosted using Kubernetes on GCP. We believe in simple, reliable infrastructure that allows us to spend most of our time on improving our tests and adding new ones.
