About AgentMail

AgentMail is the email inbox API for AI agents. It gives agents their own email inboxes, like Gmail does for humans.

Unlike other email APIs, AgentMail provides fully-managed, persistent inboxes that handle parsing, threading, labeling, searching, and replying so agents get the same email experience as humans.

Email is critical to identity and communication on the internet. Much of the context that people use for their work exists within email. AgentMail enables AI agents to meet people where they work and use the internet like humans do.

Our team is from Optiver, Nvidia, and Accel and we are backed by Y Combinator, General Catalyst, Paul Graham, Paul Copplestone, and Karim Atiyeh.

About the role

AgentMail is building the identity and communication infrastructure for AI agents, starting with email. We’re a category-defining company and are looking for a Founding Growth & GTM Lead to design and run our growth playbook across all channels.

This role is critical to our function and owns how AgentMail grows. You will build the systems, narrative, and execution that turn early momentum into repeatable, compounding growth.

What you’ll work on

  • Build and own the GTM playbook across all channels including PLG, content, community, outbound, partnerships, events, and launches
  • Define category narrative, positioning, and messaging so AgentMail becomes the default answer
  • Design and run growth experiments end to end, then scale what compounds
  • Turn product usage and market signal into repeatable distribution loops
  • Partner with product and engineering to bake growth into the product
  • Create repeatable launch motions for features, use cases, and integrations
  • Set up growth metrics and dashboards that drive decisions

You’re a fit if

  • You enjoy building playbooks from zero and pressure-testing them
  • You can run GTM across channels with high ownership
  • You are technical enough to build automations and develop a deep understanding of our product
  • You care about category creation, not just funnel optimization
  • You want real ownership over how a company grows

Bonus points

  • Experience growing developer tools, infrastructure, or API-first products
  • Familiarity with PLG and sales-assisted growth
  • Strong intuition for content, community, and distribution
  • Experience with different GTM systems and softwares

PS. our bar for this position is ridiculously high. If selected for interview, expect deep growth discussions + case studies as part of the process.

Technology

Built on AWS, utilizing services including API Gateway, Lambda, Dynamo, S3, and SQS.

Infrastructure is configured entirely with Pulumi. Code is written entirely in Typescript.

We think deeply about system architecture as we are designing for a new class of users: AI agents.
