Qualifications – Applied AI Engineer

  • Proven ability to design, train, and deploy applied AI systems that integrate tightly with real-world data pipelines and APIs
  • Production-grade experience with relational databases — migrations, schema design, RLS, and permissioning (Supabase / Postgres preferred)
  • Strong backend fundamentals in Python, TypeScript, or Go, with an ability to move fast across the stack
  • Deep familiarity with RAG architectures, LLM integrations, embeddings, vector databases, and agentic orchestration frameworks
  • Experience building or fine-tuning LLMs for structured workflows (retrieval, summarization, reasoning, or multi-step planning)
  • Comfort deploying to Cloudflare Workers, Vercel, or serverless-first stacks — with a bias for simple, scalable, low-latency systems
  • Skill in performance profiling and debugging complex latency or concurrency issues (both frontend and backend)
  • Excellent judgment in choosing libraries, managing state, and minimizing tech debt
  • Interest in LegalTech, HealthTech, or regulated AI applications — with awareness of privacy, compliance, and auditability requirements
  • Obsession with shipping fast, iterating based on data, and refactoring without fear
  • (Bonus) Experience with document-heavy or regulated data: legal filings, insurance claims, or medical records
  • (Bonus) You’ve built LLM-powered tools that real users — lawyers, patients, or operators — depend on daily
