About Quindar

Have you seen Apollo 13, The Martian, or Armageddon and recall all of the NASA engineers in a room with a bunch of monitors? Quindar is digitizing that away. Satellites are flying servers in space and we are revolutionizing the future of spacecraft operations by building the DataDog for space.

Our team has worked at SpaceX, OneWeb, Lockheed Martin, Iridium, Boeing, AWS, and RedHat. We've operated dozens of satellites, worked on broadband and earth observation constellations, and serviced commercial and government users. We are using lessons learned from our previous aerospace and startup experiences to revolutionize the space industry and enable access to space without being an expert.

About the role

We’re looking for a technically-minded Product Manager to join our growing team. You’ll own key parts of the product lifecycle, from discovery and prioritization to launch and iteration, and work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and customer success to deliver products that accelerate our customers’ workflows and drive business impact.

Our customers operate large satellite constellations – each one unique – and we provide the unified platform to automate and accelerate their mission operations. The aim of a product manager at Quindar is the right products and features for our customers at the right time – not too early or too late. You should be comfortable diving into technical requirements and system architecture discussions while keeping user empathy and the product vision at the center of your decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Vision: Own the roadmap for the Flight Dynamics and Event Management product areas, defining the product requirements, user stories, and key results
  • Execution: Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver innovative features on time
  • User Understanding: Conduct user research, shadow customers, analyze data, and synthesize information from customer-facing teams to develop deep user empathy and inform product decisions.
  • Metrics: Monitor product performance and use metrics to guide iterations on and improvements to your product areas.
  • Leadership: Serve as the go-to expert on the product, the market, the competition, and the customers.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively and drive cross-functional alignment with stakeholders at all levels, from engineering teams to executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience, preferably in aerospace or related industries focused on SaaS products
  • Proven ability to manage product roadmaps and deliver features end-to-end
  • Strong technical background with an understanding of software development or agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Ability to work into a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Learn more about the ITAR here.
