Job Overview

As a Lead Software Engineer with a specialization in AI, you will play a key role in designing and scaling intelligent systems that power our products. You’ll lead a team of engineers while collaborating cross-functionally with product, design, and data science teams to deliver production-ready features and infrastructure rooted in AI/ML.

As part of the Luna Joy team, you will play an essential role in directly contributing to the support of the mental health journey of one million women with purpose-driven innovation, unwavering compassion, and transformative care. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable software systems with embedded AI components.
• Work closely with data scientists and product managers to translate business needs into technical solutions using ML/AI models.
• Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and career development.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML technologies and frameworks that align with our product roadmap.
• Ensure best practices in software development, including testing, monitoring, and documentation.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and help define sprints and roadmaps.
• Help manage infrastructure for AI model training, deployment, and monitoring.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in modern backend languages (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js, Java).
• Strong experience in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
• Experience deploying ML models in production environments.
• Solid understanding of system architecture, cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools (e.g., Airflow, Spark, BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Haves:

• Prior experience in a healthtech, mental health, or digital wellness company.
• Exposure to LLMs (Large Language Models), NLP, or generative AI applications.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks like HIPAA or SOC 2.
• Experience with healthcare or telehealth platforms.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and data privacy regulations.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
