About the Team

Fleek is a diverse set of funky individuals with the single mission of making secondhand first choice while enabling entrepreneurs on both sides of the marketplace. Our 50+ people team consists of individuals in 7+ countries with experiences from Google, YC, Uber, Deliveroo, Depop, Cambridge, Oxford, UC Berkeley, etc.

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to supercharge how we acquire retailers for our secondhand fashion platform.

The candidate will need a passion for fashion - bonus for secondhand and vintage - and a curious mind to help us 5x sales with vintage retailers, through understanding retailers needs, visiting their stores, calling and emailing, and building strong relationships with our prospects.

The ideal candidate must bring a can-do, go-getter, creative approach to sales and relationship building to drive growth and help the success of our platform. You will work closely with the rest of the growth team to identify and leverage opportunities for new retailers.

In simple terms this role is focussed on business development with retailers wanting to find a better and simpler way to source vintage clothes for their stores!

Requirements

As a key member of an early stage startup in hyper growth you must be willing to do whatever it takes to acquire new larger customers for Fleek. The key requirements for this role are:

  • Proven experience, at least 2 years, in a sales role, preferably with time spent in a BDR/SDR or AE role.
  • Familiarity with various online and offline sales and outreach channels
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships
  • Comfortable with cold calls, cold outreaches, and visiting prospects in person
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Analytical and creative mindset for sales performance reporting and capitalizing on learnings
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach to driving sales and over-achieving targets
