Firecrawl is the easiest way to extract data from the web. Developers use us to reliably convert URLs into LLM-ready markdown or structured data with a single API call. We crossed 19k GitHub stars in just 6 months and have had paying customers since day one.
Previously, we built Mendable, one of the first commercially available “chat with your data” applications. We sold to companies like MongoDB, Coinbase, Snapchat, and more. To do this, we spent a surprising amount of time building reliable infrastructure for getting clean data from the web. When we started to see our founding friends rebuilding the same thing, we thought we might be on to something.
Firecrawl is the easiest way for developers to gather LLM-ready data from the web. As AI tools reshape how developers discover and evaluate products, we need someone who can crack the code on next-gen SEO and content strategy. We're looking for a sharp, high-energy Vibe Marketer to dominate the SEO game, outmaneuver competitors in Gen AI search, and build scalable content systems that developers actually find useful.
What you'll do:
-
SEO Strategy & Execution: Study tools like SEMrush and Profound to identify opportunities, gaps, and winning content angles. Build strategies that beat competitors in both traditional and AI-powered search.
-
Content Operations: Manage a pool of freelance contractors to execute high-quality, technically accurate content at scale. You'll brief, review, and optimize their work.
-
Workflow Automation: Build and test automated content workflows using n8n, Zapier, Gumloop, and similar tools. Turn manual tasks into smooth, repeatable systems.
-
Internal Tooling: Use Cursor to build lightweight internal tools and workflows that supercharge our content production and distribution.
-
Programmatic SEO: Experiment with and deploy programmatic SEO strategies that scale content creation and capture long-tail search traffic.
-
Affiliate & Partnership Strategy: Leverage affiliate programs and partnerships to amplify reach and drive growth through strategic content distribution.
What makes you a great fit:
-
SEO Expertise: You've driven real SEO wins before, especially at dev tools or technical B2B companies. You understand how developers search and what they need.
-
High Agency: You're a natural builder and problem solver. Ex-founder experience or other proven high-agency background strongly preferred.
-
Technical Fluency: You can code or build sophisticated workflow automations. Automating manual tasks with tools like n8n and Zapier is second nature to you.
-
Content Strategy: You're a strong writer who understands how to create content that ranks, converts, and actually helps developers.
-
Fast Execution: You ship quickly, test relentlessly, and iterate based on data. Speed and experimentation are second nature.
You'll stand out if you:
- Have previous big SEO wins specifically at a dev tools company.
- Are an ex-founder or have other high-agency entrepreneurial experience.
- Have deep experience with workflow automation tools like AirOps, n8n, or Gen AI SEO tools like Profound.
- Can build internal tools and workflows in Cursor like it's your natural habitat.
- Have successfully managed and scaled freelance content teams.
- Have experience with programmatic SEO or affiliate marketing strategies.
What it means to join Firecrawl:
-
Autonomy: Own the entire content strategy and execution. Build the systems you want to work with.
-
Growth Opportunity: Help define how a fast-growing dev tool shows up in search as AI reshapes discovery.
-
Remote-First Culture: Work where you're most productive—we care about results, not location.
-
Creative Freedom: Experiment with new approaches, test wild ideas, and build systems that scale.
-
Impactful Work: Your content strategy will directly drive how thousands of developers discover and adopt Firecrawl.
Our interview process is designed to understand how you think about growth, execute strategy, and build systems that scale.
Here's what to expect:
-
Intro Chat (15 minutes): Quick conversation about your background, big wins, and what excites you about this role.
-
Strategy Deep Dive (1–2 hours): You'll analyze a real SEO/content challenge and present your approach. We want to see how you think through competitive analysis, content strategy, and execution.
-
Culture & Vision Interview (1 hour): Discussion about how you work, what drives you, and how you see content strategy evolving in the AI era.
