Role Overview

As our first Product Management hire focusing on Developer Platform, you will own the strategy and execution for growing our developer community, starting with optimizing our self-serve funnel. This is a hands-on, product builder role designed for a technical candidate comfortable writing highly technical documentation, interfacing with developers, and performing their own analysis or lightweight engineering. You'll be instrumental in increasing adoption, driving usage, and converting developers from free sign-ups to paid Growth and Enterprise plans. This high-impact role offers a significant growth trajectory, enabling you to shape the developer experience and play a key role in the future growth of our product organization.

Responsibilities

• Developer Experience: Design and enhance our developer onboarding, documentation, API experience, and self-serve conversion points. You will be the product owner of our Developer Portal at platform.tavus.io. 
• Growth Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to increase developer signups, activations, and conversions through our self-serve funnel
• Strategic Roadmap: Develop, articulate, and execute a strategic roadmap focused on developer acquisition, retention, and upsell opportunities.
• Data-Informed Decision Making: Utilize analytics, user research, and experimentation to inform product decisions, measure success, and iterate effectively.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to align on product goals, messaging, go-to-market strategies, and customer success initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success in growth, developer platforms, or self-serve SaaS/API-driven products.
• Technical background (Computer Science degree or equivalent engineering experience)
• Deep technical acumen, comfortable interacting closely with engineering teams and developers.
• Strong empathy for developers and understanding of their workflows, challenges, and needs.
• Proven ability to leverage analytics, experimentation, and user research to drive impactful product decisions.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product strategy, vision, and technical details to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in AI-focused products or platforms, particularly around generative AI or video technologies.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated ability to operate effectively in early-stage, high-growth startups.

Previous experience or active participation in developer advocacy or developer relations roles.
