Position Overview

As a Physical Access Control System (PACS) Integration Specialist at Ambient.ai, you will serve as the primary technical advisor to our clients, configuring access control systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing expert guidance on industry best practices. You'll work directly with customers to ensure successful implementation and ongoing optimization of physical access control systems, with a particular focus on Lenel, Genetec, and C-CURE platforms. Equally important, you'll collaborate closely with our internal teams, including customer success managers, to elevate everyone's knowledge and expertise in this domain, creating a stronger collective capability to serve our customers.

The impact you’ll make:

• Partner with clients to understand their security requirements and develop customized solutions

• Implement Ambient.ai with customer PACS, including both hardware and software components

• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem resolution for complex security system issues

• Engage directly with PACS providers (Lenel, Genetec, C-CURE) to resolve technical issues, coordinate support, and maintain strong vendor relationships

• Create and document standard operating procedures and best practices for clients

• Conduct comprehensive system audits and recommend improvements to enhance security posture

• Serve widely as a go-to subject matter expert on PACS, particularly as a liaison with product and engineering teams

• Deliver technical training and ongoing support to client personnel

• Maintain current knowledge of emerging security technologies and industry trends

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional client satisfaction

The amazing skills you’ll bring to Ambient.ai:

• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise physical access control systems, particularly Lenel, Genetec, or C-CURE

• You bring strong technical knowledge of security hardware, including readers, controllers, and integration capabilities

• You relish client-facing consulting or technical support roles

• You excel at problem-solving and approach challenges with analytical thinking

• You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• You can manage multiple client projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail

Bonus Points

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Computer Science, or related field

• Industry certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), or manufacturer-specific certifications

• You have served as the physical access control administrator in a large corporate environment

• Experience with related security systems such as video surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm monitoring

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles as they relate to physical access control

• Project management experience

Ambient's tech stack is very extensive.

• For the IoT server and the deep learning infrastructure, we use Python, C/C++, WebRTC and Tensorflow on GP-GPUs (NVIDIA).
• The web backend and micro-services are written largely in Python. The frontend is a mix of React and native Javascript. The web infrastructure is supported by a variety of services such as Redis, celery, elasticsearch, Amazon RDS etc.

We also use a variety of tools such as supervisor, docker, network monitoring tools and performance profilers.
