Founding Full-Stack Engineer

Location: New York City, NY

Employment Type: Full-time

Total Compensation: $140,000 - $185,000 salary + meaningful equity

We are seeking an exceptional founding full-stack engineer to spearhead product innovation and feature development for AI finance workflow automations. You will work closely with the founding team in a fast-paced, agile environment, contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle—from conception to deployment.

You’ll be building a platform that will reimagine the workflows of financial services companies from the ground up and be a driving force in the AI revolution for financial institutions.

We cover all in-office meals and are in-person 5 workdays each week

We are open to engineers outside of New York who are interested in relocating, and we will sponsor visas of any sort (H-1B, TN, etc.)

Who We are Looking For

• Passion for Design & UX: We are constantly reimagining our product’s UI/UX. Our end users are a tough crowd—time-constrained, slow to adopt new tools, and have high expectations—so we need to deliver interfaces that are exceptionally simple and intuitive.
• AI & LLM Proficiency: Deep understanding of modern AI capabilities and hands-on experience leveraging large language models (LLMs) to build intelligent, production-ready applications. Comfortable exploring prompts, fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, and integrating AI into core product experiences.
• Passion for Technology: We operate at the forefront of technological innovation. Staying actively informed and engaged with the state-of-the-art, especially as it relates to UX/product, in the field is essential.
• Continuous Learning & Adaptability: In our fast paced environment, you will be challenged to explore areas that may be outside your comfort zone. You’ll need to be able to adapt to new challenges while continuing to deliver results.
• Driven & Startup-Minded: This role demands a self-starter who thrives with autonomy, taking concepts from idea to execution while making critical technical decisions. • Product & Attention to Quality: You should be deeply interested in understanding and solving the end user’s challenges, at times even spending time with users to reimagine how finance professionals operate. A commitment to excellence is essential, as every aspect of your work—from intuitive user interfaces to robust back-end systems—contributes to the end user experience.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a full-stack developer or similar role
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in NextJS, React, and Typescript
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
• Eagerness to learn and grow

Bonus Qualifications

• Technical Skills (rough order of priority)
  • C# / .NET Desktop Apps / Mobile App Development
  • LLM APIs / RAG
  • Python / Office.js
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite / Excel Macros & VBA
• Experience as a founder or working at an early-stage startup
• Open source contributions / interesting side projects
