Interview Process

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Reframe’s interview process.

Below is what to expect in our interview process. If you have questions, email us at [email protected]

Phone Screen

This stage is a more informal call to get to know more about the role, and for you to evaluate whether it’s a good fit for you. We are looking for people with a strong interest in startups and motivation to help them; this is usually exhibited by past experience working at or starting one yourself.

The conversation will cover some light technical discussion about your past projects. Mostly, we want to know that you can code and ship fairly involved systems, and speak to them with clarity on the details. This tends to be a good indication that a designer with strong ownership and autonomy in making product or technical decisions.

Design Challenge

After the phone screening, if we deem it a good fit we will proceed with the design challenge. In this challenge we will ask you to download our app and complete our onboarding process. Then, we want you to create your own version of our onboarding. In this challenge, we are looking for two things:

  • Creativity. We want to see your design skills and creativity. We ask that you create something different from our current onboarding while keeping the information intake the same (feel free to add any extra elements you think would fit our current onboarding design!)

  • Logic. We want to see the logic and idea behind your designs. It should make sense to the overall user flow.

For these exercises, you'll be using your own computer, and using whatever language/environment you are most comfortable with. We ask for designs to be created and shared via Figma. ).

Timing

The typical interview process takes about a week—two weeks. That said, we more more quickly and look to accommodate candidates who might have a short timeline or competing offers. The more information you can share about your situation and where you are in the process, the more we can either attempt to expedite/match, or save you time if we cannot.
