💻 Vital is an API for at-home health data, and we are making it easy for developers to build virtual-first healthcare app's on top of our platform. We have built a wearables API and at-home test kit API and our current docs can be found at docs.tryvital.io. We're building Twilio for healthcare.

🔎 Vital is looking for a passionate senior engineer to join us on our mission to revolutionize how healthcare is delivered today.

🌍 This is a fully remote position. However, you must be in the EST or GMT timezone.

💪🏽 Some of the early challenges you could be working on:

• Reverse engineering API's for wearables/medical devices.
• Building a scalable fault-tolerant backend, that can handle large amounts of data we will be processing and the complexity of 50+ 3rd party API integrations.
• Building direct integrations to wearable devices and at-home remote patient monitoring devices.
• Building pipelines to scale dealing with the legacy labs, i.e. email ordering and scraping

👾 Our Tech Stack

• Python (Fast API), Go, Typescript, React, React Native, (Swift is added bonus) GCP

📌 You'll be a good fit if...

• You like to wear many hats. We are a small team, with a lot of things yet to be figured out. You are comfortable operating in such an environment.
• You are comfortable with owning features and being the driving force behind them. We don’t have Product Managers. Engineers are responsible for managing their work.
• You care about the outcomes, rather than outputs.

🌳 Requirements

• Proficient with React (Typescript). You have 3 years of professional experience. You are also experienced with HTML and CSS.
• Experience with Chakra , Tailwind or modern stacks.
• Good design sensibility. We don’t have a dedicated designer, so a lot of decisions will be left to you.
• Have good communication skills. You will interact with customers directly and on a daily basis.
• You are willing to do backend work. If you don’t have experience doing backend - Python and Go
