API for at-home health data
About Vital
🔎 Vital's mission is to revolutionize how healthcare is delivered today, by making it easier for digital health companies to launch their products.
💻 Vital is an API for at-home health data, and we are making it easy for developers to build virtual-first healthcare app's on top of our platform. We have built a wearables API and at-home test kit API and our current docs can be found at docs.tryvital.io. We're building Twilio for healthcare.
About the role
Skills: Python, React, React Native, Swift, TypeScript🔎 Vital is looking for a passionate senior engineer to join us on our mission to revolutionize how healthcare is delivered today.
🌍 This is a fully remote position. However, you must be in the EST or GMT timezone.
💪🏽 Some of the early challenges you could be working on:
- Reverse engineering API's for wearables/medical devices.
- Building a scalable fault-tolerant backend, that can handle large amounts of data we will be processing and the complexity of 50+ 3rd party API integrations.
- Building direct integrations to wearable devices and at-home remote patient monitoring devices.
- Building pipelines to scale dealing with the legacy labs, i.e. email ordering and scraping
👾 Our Tech Stack
- Python (Fast API), Go, Typescript, React, React Native, (Swift is added bonus) GCP
📌 You'll be a good fit if...
- You like to wear many hats. We are a small team, with a lot of things yet to be figured out. You are comfortable operating in such an environment.
- You are comfortable with owning features and being the driving force behind them. We don’t have Product Managers. Engineers are responsible for managing their work.
- You care about the outcomes, rather than outputs.
🌳 Requirements
- Proficient with React (Typescript). You have 3 years of professional experience. You are also experienced with HTML and CSS.
- Experience with Chakra , Tailwind or modern stacks.
- Good design sensibility. We don’t have a dedicated designer, so a lot of decisions will be left to you.
- Have good communication skills. You will interact with customers directly and on a daily basis.
- You are willing to do backend work. If you don’t have experience doing backend (with Python and Go) that’s not a problem.
