Position: Founding Frontend Engineer

Dili is looking for a Frontend Founding Engineer. This role is an opportunity to influence our product trajectory, define our engineering culture, and spearhead team development.

Responsibilities

• UI/UX Development: Craft interactive, visually compelling user interfaces utilizing websockets and SSEs for real-time user experience. Innovate in visualizing trends, extracting insights, and enabling advanced search and filtering leveraging natural language processing. Create intuitive and responsive designs that seamlessly interact with our backend.

Tech Stack

• We work primarily with React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, AWS, Django, Docker, and Terraform.

Ideal Candidate Traits

• You're a creator, fluent in frontend development and design principles.
• Autonomous project management is second nature to you – you turn ambiguity into clarity and action.
• Startup environments energize you, and you're adept at juggling diverse responsibilities.

Bonus Points

• Experience crafting data-intensive, real-time web applications.
• A portfolio of projects where you've implemented responsive, data-driven UI/UX.

Location Preferences

• We enjoy the hybrid work model, mixing in-person collaboration with remote flexibility. Our office is located in Union Square and we meet 2-3x a week. We're on the lookout for candidates who appreciate this balance.
