Role Specific Details

Having transitioned from an MVP to a product ready for scale, Fleek now serves approximately 10,000 MAUs, generating about $2M in GMV every month. Our offerings range from Consumer and Vendor Apps to a robust AWS backend infrastructure. We're on the hunt for an experienced Backend Engineer who brings: Experience in hands-on coding, particularly with NodeJS & Typescript. Job Description - Sr Backend Developer 2 Proficiency in architectural designs and databases, coupled with familiarity with search indexes and data pipelines. An appetite to delve into the latest AI trends, applying them innovatively for search & personalization. A collaborative spirit, capable of liaising seamlessly with frontend teams proficient in React & React Native. Ambition not just to code, but to shape and scale an engineering team

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience with NodeJS & Typescript or a keen interest to master these. Proven track record in backend/cloud platforms like AWS or GCP. Familiarity with AWS services like SQS, SNS, Lambda, and knowledge of Postgres. Ability to design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable systems. Mentoring and supporting other team members by doing code reviews and applying your experience in process and technical leadership. Understanding of Graphql is a plus. Startup experience is a crucial advantage.
