About Fleek

Fleek is a B2B Marketplace for wholesale second hand fashion. We enable professional resellers and retail stores to buy from vintage clothing suppliers around the world. We are backed by top Silicon Valley VCs like Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Y Combinator, and more.

Team

Fleek is a set of funky individuals who find unity in diversity with the single mission of helping sustainability, promoting circular fashion while building a beautiful product experience.

Our 10 people team consists of ex-YC founders leading our engineering effort, ex-Uber & Doordash folks leading our operations and supply strategy. Alongside our Growth team is lead by folks who went to Cambridge, Oxford and UC Berkeley.

Technology stack

Fleek is built with a modern native stack with Javascript as its backbone and React, React Native as the frameworks for app development. We have two buyer and supplier facing apps on App Store and Play Store. We also have a website that currently runs on React and Shopify. We're actively migrating it to a fully owned react app and need your help :-)

We employ AWS as our cloud provider and use technologies in OpenSearch, DataFlow and Lambda, Video streaming to build on top.

Our philosophy is to reuse where possible and innovate when we can add value.

Role specific details

Fleek has evolved from an MVP to a product at the state of scale. We currently service anywhere around 10,000 MAUs who bring in about $1.5M of GMV monthly. We've been able to build tablestake features and apps such as: Consumer App, Vendor App & AWS backend infrastructure to support it.

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack who has 5+ years of experience building and/or leading teams. In your role you will be:

  • Owning, developing and architecting the website end to end.
  • Ability to do light full stack work on NodeJS backend
  • Work with various cross functional teams: Growth, Supply, Operations, Design
  • Be a leading voice of our users. Be customer centric and obsessed with building a world class experience. In this role you will determine your own scope. We are looking for folks who can get deep with code as well as help build out an engineering team for scale!

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with React.JS/ReactNative/Cotlin/Switft building out cross platform apps for iOS and Android
  • Experience working in backend/cloud environments like AWS or GCP
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment
  • Having worked at a startup is a must!
