About the Role
Are you passionate about combining creativity with practicality? As a Product Designer Intern, you will play a key role in conceptualizing, improving, and executing furniture designs that are durable, cost-effective, and visually appealing for rental usage. You will work closely with the internal design and operations teams to take ideas from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design innovative, trend-aligned furniture optimized for durability, reusability, and easy maintenance, considering wear and tear in rental usage.
- Review and improve existing furniture products to enhance structural strength, ease of transport, assembly, and visual appeal.
- Suggest smart product add-ons to improve product life and versatility.
- Create detailed technical drawings (CAD/manual) for new designs and product enhancements.
- Coordinate with vendors for material selection and quality checks.
- Conduct site visits to ensure proper execution of designs and resolve on-site issues.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for each design or improvement project, including:
- Material costs
- Manufacturing and labor charges
- Logistics and installation estimates
