About the role
Skills: Next.js, Tailwind, CSS, Node.js, Python, TypeScript, Data Modeling, Data Analytics, PostgreSQL, Amazon Web Services (AWS)Misprint is a peer-to-peer marketplace for graded and sealed Pokémon cards, think StockX, but built for liquidity, transparency, and speed in collectibles. We’re YC-backed, operating in NYC, and growing quickly.
We’re looking for a high-agency full stack engineer who’s excited to own real systems end-to-end: product, data, ops tooling, and reliability. This is a “see the bottleneck, fix it” role, not a “wait for tickets” role.
What you’ll do
You’ll work closely with the founder + our existing engineers to:
-
Own core marketplace flows (listings, bids/asks, checkout, payouts, disputes)
-
Turn existing systems into clean, documented ones (migrations, scripts, admin tooling, runbooks)
-
Build internal tooling & automations so support doesn’t require DB surgery
-
Own key data pipelines that power pricing/market data and catalog mappings
- Improve reliability: monitoring, incident playbooks, permissions, backups, and “bus factor” reduction
What success looks like (first 60–90 days)
- You can deploy confidently, handle incidents, and know where the bodies are buried (with docs)
- The “critical scripts” are owned, runnable, and not tribal knowledge
- Support/ops has guardrails + tools (fewer manual overrides, faster resolution)
- Clear roadmap + execution cadence with the team
Our stack
- Frontend: React / Next.js / Tailwind
- Backend/Data: Supabase (Postgres), Python, some Node
- Infra: Vercel, AWS, Porter, Stripe
You might be a fit if you…
- Have 3+ years full-stack experience (or equivalent: you’ve shipped + owned serious systems)
- Are strong at debugging + data + production reliability
- Have data scrapping experience & general data analytics experience
- Have CSS, Tailwind, and responsive styling capabilities
- Can operate independently, communicate clearly, and document as you go
- Enjoy building product and building the systems that keep it from breaking
- Bonus: You like marketplaces, payments, or Pokémon/collectibles
Logistics
-
Location: In-person NYC (Midtown)
-
Type: Full-time
-
Comp: $140k-200k, 0.25%-1% equity
-
Start: ASAP
How to apply
Send:
- LinkedIn/GitHub (or anything showing what you’ve built)
- 1–2 examples of a project you owned end-to-end
- A note if you have any experience collecting Pokemon / other trading cards!
