About Myria

Myria is a private marketplace & community where all participants are fully vetted. Our offers are exclusive and otherwise unavailable online.

Myria helps off-market sellers reach the nicest, richest, and most quailed buyers on Earth. In turn, we help the world’s most successful people find the best of everything and get the most out of life.

About the role
Skills: Prompt Engineering

Myria builds the private marketplace for the 300,000 most successful people in the world. We power bespoke services, access, and transactions that don’t exist anywhere else. We’re YC W22 with fast-growing product usage and a deep stack of AI agents that route, scope, and execute high-touch member requests.

What you’ll own

  • Refine the global system prompt and per-category prompts for Houston (our AI mission control), driving down errors and ambiguity.
  • Design/run evals and regression tests for new prompt changes, tools, and MCP integrations.
  • Build and maintain prompt kits, playbooks, and examples that cover real-world edge cases (classification, intent, safety, intake, ideation vs. request).
  • Collaborate with eng/product to wire new APIs/tools into the MCP server and ensure the agent uses them reliably.
  • Ship fast: diagnose failures in production traces, patch prompts, validate with targeted evals, and land safe PRs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience building with LLMs (prompting, tool use, safety, evaluation).
  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer shipping production systems.
  • Proven experience designing evals/regression suites for conversational agents.
  • Strong product sense and crisp communication; you can translate business needs into prompt behaviors.
  • Comfortable owning prompts end-to-end in a live system (classification > routing > tool calls > member-facing responses).

Nice to have

  • Experience with RedwoodJS/TypeScript/GraphQL or similar stacks.
  • MCP/tool orchestration experience.
  • Luxury/concierge, travel, or high-touch service domain knowledge.

Benefits

  • Remote full-time (HQ Los Angeles)
  • Competitive salary + equity + bonuses
  • Medical insurance (80% employee), 401(k), unlimited vacation
  • Work directly with repeat founders and a small senior team

At Myria, we are looking for engineers who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building high-quality products, and take ownership of their work. Our team values autonomy, communication, and a focus on creating impactful user experiences. Our interview process reflects these priorities and simulates the types of challenges you’ll tackle at Myria.
Below is an outline of our interview process. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

Introductory Call

  • Duration: 20 minutes
  • Purpose: This informal call allows us to introduce Myria, learn more about your background and goals, and evaluate if this role aligns with your career aspirations. We also encourage you to ask questions to help you decide if Myria is a good fit for you.
  • What We’re Looking For: Candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm for our mission, an interest in startups, and motivation to contribute to a fast-growing team.

Technical Interview

  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Format: You’ll work on a hands-on technical exercise that closely mirrors the kind of work you’ll do at Myria. Before the call, you’ll receive a GitHub repository that contains a project using similar technologies to our stack. During the session, you’ll address existing issues and implement a couple of new features.
  • What to Expect:
    • You can use any tools or resources (e.g., Google, documentation, AI…) during the session.
    • You’ll share your screen so we can observe your thought process, coding style, and approach to problem-solving.
    • This isn’t about solving abstract algorithmic problems or reverse binary trees. It’s about demonstrating how you’d tackle real-world tasks relevant to the role.
  • Objective: To assess your ability to debug, build, and iterate on features using the technologies we work with, while collaborating in a realistic environment.

Final Call with the CEO

  • Duration: 30 minutes
  • Purpose: This conversation focuses on understanding your career goals, discussing Myria’s vision, and exploring how your aspirations align with our mission.
  • What to Expect: This is an opportunity for you to learn more about Myria’s culture, values, and future plans directly from our CEO, as well as share what excites you about joining the team.

Timing

The entire interview process typically takes 2–3 weeks from start to finish, though we can expedite timelines for candidates with competing offers or time-sensitive needs. Please let us know your situation, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

We’ve designed this process to be as relevant and collaborative as possible, ensuring you have a clear sense of what it’s like to work at Myria. We look forward to meeting you and learning more about your skills and aspirations!
