Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, quota-carrying Director of Sales: AI Solutions to lead, coach, and inspire a team of 4–5 Account Executives focused on new-business growth—while also owning and driving a personal book of business. This is a true player-coach role for a leader who excels at both developing high-performing sales teams and closing complex enterprise deals.
As a senior member of our Sales organization, you will help shape Centaur Labs’ go-to-market motion, build scalable sales processes, and expand our presence across healthcare, life sciences, and AI-driven enterprise organizations. You will lead by example with exceptional sales execution, thoughtful leadership, and a strong commitment to team success.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Executives responsible for generating and closing new business.
- Establish clear performance expectations and drive operational rigor around pipeline management, forecasting, and activity standards.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, including deal strategy reviews and skill-development meetings.
- Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding as the sales team grows.
Individual Quota Ownership
- Own and exceed a personal new-business quota as a senior individual contributor.
- Lead the full sales cycle for high-value enterprise opportunities, from prospecting through close.
- Build a strong personal pipeline through strategic outreach, executive relationship building, and active industry presence.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Contribute to the refinement of Centaur Labs’ sales strategy, ensuring alignment with revenue, market, and organizational objectives.
- Collaborate across Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations to improve messaging, lead quality, and prospect engagement.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize sales efficiency, shorten cycles, and build predictable revenue processes.
Prospecting & Market Expansion
- Guide the Account Executive team in identifying high-potential markets, accounts, and vertical opportunities.
- Personally cultivate senior-level relationships across enterprise healthcare, AI/ML organizations, and life sciences.
- Identify and prioritize new whitespace opportunities for Centaur Labs’ solutions.
Deal Management & Negotiation
- Serve as a strategic advisor and escalation partner for your team on complex deals.
- Lead executive-level conversations with procurement, legal, technical, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure deals are structured for long-term success and aligned with Centaur Labs’ commercial strategy.
Forecasting & Reporting
- Deliver accurate short- and long-range forecasts for both individual and team performance.
- Analyze sales metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement continuous improvements to strengthen sales processes and predictability.
Brand Representation
- Represent Centaur Labs at conferences, summits, and industry events to generate pipeline and elevate brand presence.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of success in B2B sales, including at least 2–3 years managing quota-carrying Account Executives.
- Proven success as both a sales leader and an individual seller—comfortable carrying a personal quota while managing a team.
- Experience selling AI, data science, machine learning, or digital health solutions to enterprise organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and motivate high-performing sales teams.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building capabilities with C-level stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and operational discipline.
- Proficiency in CRM and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

We use React.js and Swift on the frontend, and Python and Swift (Vapor) on the backend. Our data store is PostgreSQL, and we're hosted on AWS.
