About Avocado

Avocado POS is the AI-native POS for modern restaurants — food trucks, quick-service spots, and small chains that are done with clunky legacy systems and endless monthly fees.

We’re scaling fast through referrals and inbound momentum. Now, we’re ready to add our first founding SDR to take Avocado to the next level.


About the Role

You’ll be the first outbound rep at Avocado — the one who builds the top-of-funnel motion from scratch.

Your job: connect with restaurant owners, uncover their pain points, and book qualified demos that directly drive revenue.

You’ll report to our founding GTM lead and work closely with the rest of the founding team. You’ll test messaging, refine tools, and learn how to build a sales engine that scales.

If you’ve worked in startups, restaurant tech, or have been in the trenches of a restaurant, we want you!


You’ll Win Here If You

  • Have experience in startup sales or selling into restaurants / SMBs
  • Self starter and a problem solver
  • Thrive in start up chaos
  • Can manage dozens of follow-ups daily and still bring the energy
  • Handle rejection with grit and humor — restaurant owners are busy and blunt, and that doesn’t scare you
  • Want to grow into a AE closing role fast and own a real impact
  • Bonus: if you’ve worked in restaurants and know how these owners think and grind

What You’ll Do

  • Execute heavy daily outreach (calls, texts, DMs, emails)
  • Book qualified demos with restaurant owners and other decision makers
  • Experiment with creative value based outreach — free tools, engaging content, etc.
  • Help shape Avocado’s outbound playbook for future reps
  • Partner with founders to refine targeting, scripts, and CRM flow

Compensation & Benefits

  • OTE: $85K–$100K+ with early-stage equity potential (Uncapped commission)

Our system consists of a point-of-sale running on iPads, a restaurant dashboard running on web, and a consumer-facing mobile app. Our front end is built using React Native and React. Our backend uses Rails on top of Postges with a GraphQL API.
