Taro is a YC-backed startup reinventing how Software Engineers navigate their careers. Founded in 2022, we now have 100,000 engineers engaged on our EdTech platform, delivering insights from tech leads and VPs at top tech companies. Now, we're creating the best place for Software Engineers to find their next opportunity. We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our lean team (6 people) in Palo Alto to accelerate our mission.

We're profitable and care deeply about mentorship and ownership. We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our core engineering team. You'll work closely with our founders to develop user-facing features and iterate rapidly.

Role

We are looking for strong developers to join our small but growing team. We work in person from our Palo Alto office 3 to 4 times/week. What we look for: 

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• You've built something (anything) on your own and shipped it to real users
• You care about helping others achieve career success
• You're familiar with our tech stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Firebase, PostgreSQL
• You're located in the Bay Area or open to relocating
• [Bonus] You've gone through some of the discussions or courses on Taro!

You are likely not a good fit at Taro if you: 

• Want to smoke, drink, or party in the workplace
• Want to do things your own way
• Are unreceptive to feedback
• You feel uncomfortable with very little test coverage

Salary Range: $90,000 - $180,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity
