Employment Type: Full-time

Team Stage: First dedicated operations hire
About Ergo
Ergo turns every customer conversation—across Zoom, email, Slack, and phone—into structured CRM data, proactive follow-ups, and real-time revenue insights. We free sales teams from busywork so they can focus on relationships and closing deals.
Why This Role Exists
We’ve proven product–market fit with early reference customers and are scaling quickly. To support that growth, we need to build operational muscle. As our first Operations Lead, you’ll be responsible for designing the systems, processes, and rhythms that let the company scale without slowing down. You’ll be a force multiplier for the team—removing friction, creating clarity, and ensuring the business runs smoothly.
What You’ll Tackle
**Business Operations:**
Own day-to-day company operations—finance, legal, HR, vendor management—ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
**Systems & Processes:**
Design lightweight, scalable workflows for everything from onboarding customers to onboarding employees.
**Metrics & Reporting:**
Stand up dashboards for internal KPIs—customer health, financial performance, hiring pipelines—so we always know where we stand.
**People & Culture:**
Support hiring, onboarding, and team rituals; help shape a high-performance, high-trust culture.
**Special Projects:**
Jump into founder-level projects—from fundraising prep to customer success playbooks—wherever leverage is needed most.
You Might Be a Fit If You
- Bring 1+ years of experience in operations, business ops, or chief of staff roles—ideally at an early-stage startup.
- Have a track record of building processes from scratch that scaled.
- Are detail-oriented but pragmatic—know when to optimize and when to ship something scrappy.
- Enjoy context-switching across finance, people, customers, and product ops.
- Thrive in ambiguity, bias toward action, and like wearing many hats.
- Are excited to learn directly from founders in a company at the scaling inflection point.
You Might Not Be a Fit If You
- Are looking for a narrow, well-defined role. This job spans functions and will evolve quickly.
- Need a lot of direction day-to-day. While feedback is constant, high agency is critical.
- Prefer stability over change. Our processes today won’t look the same six months from now.
- Don’t like working closely with others. We sit together, share feedback constantly, and problem-solve as a team.
- Are uncomfortable working in a young, high-velocity environment.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience supporting a sales-driven or RevOps-heavy team.
- Familiarity with startup fundraising processes.
- Exposure to AI or SaaS productivity tooling.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary plus meaningful equity.
- Executive membership at the Bayclubs.
