Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Product Manager, to play a key role in shaping the direction of our AI products, working closely with engineers, designers, and enterprise partners to define, build, and deliver agentic workflows that drive real-world outcomes. This is an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of AI and enterprise software—turning complex problems into elegant, efficient solutions.  Looking for someone who can make the trains run on time.

This is a dynamic role that requires someone hands-on, adaptable, and ready to build and scale in a fast-paced startup environment. 

Skills

• Jira/Confluence proficient.
• Experience running Agile teams, with KANBAN, SCRUM, etc. 
• Github/ Git proficient.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Run Agile/Kanban teams.
• Support the end-to-end product lifecycle: from discovery and definition to launch and iteration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, partnerships, GTM) to develop and ship high-impact AI features and agentic workflows.
• Partner directly with clients to understand their data, domain-specific challenges, and use cases.
• Conduct research on user needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy.
• Define and manage product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog to ensure alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
• Measure and communicate product success through KPIs and user feedback.

Qualifications

• 3 - 10 years of experience in a product, strategy, or technical role (e.g., product management, consulting, data/AI-focused operations).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize user needs, data insights, and technical constraints.
• Comfort working with unstructured data and an eagerness to understand complex enterprise workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-starter with a bias toward action, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Bonus: Experience with AI/ML products, B2B SaaS, or clients in media, finance, or professional services.

• Software development background preferred.

About Us: 

Capitol AI is agentic AI that partners with owners of large proprietary data sets (such as Politico Pro) to enable deeper insights from unstructured data and unlock new revenue opportunities with their clients in a highly efficient and impactful way. 

Capitol has an in-house LLM orchestration layer with a generation pipeline that includes our own implementation of function calling, RAG, and chain of thought reasoning. We also have our own fine-tuning pipeline for function-specific small models. Our backend is python, our cloud is managed in terraform, our application CRUD is Clojure (LISP fans welcome) and our frontend is React.
