At Numero, we build software for political campaigns and nonprofits. We were founded in 2019 (after our founders met while working together on a Congressional race) with the goal of building a modern fundraising software suite from the ground up – one that users actually want to use. In that time, we’ve scaled our platform to serve thousands of clients ranging from city council seats to US Senate races, and have helped them collectively manage over $10B in contributions.
Our platform is an all-in-one system comprised of a donor CRM, a broadcast email/text tool, and payment processing pages that our clients rely on for their work every day. We’re small, tight-knit team that has deep experience in this space and are backed by world class investors including 776, Y Combinator, and Initialized Capital.
📢 Overview
At Numero, we build software for political campaigns and nonprofits. Since our founding in 2019, we’ve scaled our platform to serve thousands of campaigns ranging from city council seats to US Senate races, and have helped them collectively raise over $10B in contributions.
Our fundraising software is an all-in-one system comprised of a donor CRM, call time tool, broadcast email and text tool, event RSVP tools, and contributions forms, that our clients rely on every day.
We’ve experienced tremendous growth over the past 18 months.
We’re hiring a Sales Lead to turn that momentum into repeatable, month-over-month growth.
Your focus:
- Find the right decision makers on political campaigns and digital agencies
- Get them on a demo, figure out their pain points, and evaluate if Numero is the best option for them.
- If they generate more in donations than Numero costs, move them to a signed agreement and onboarding with with urgency and discipline.
When you do this well, clients save hundreds of hours and raise several million more dollars for their campaign.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who gets energy from helping others — especially when you know they’re missing out. Campaigns that don’t use Numero leave money on the table. A lot of it.
Last cycle, Red to Blue campaigns left $3.1M on the table on average by not using Numero. That’s the difference between winning and losing a campaign.
We want someone who is scrappy, creative, and competitive. Someone who can figure out what works — and scale it.
This is a role for someone who’s hungry, resourceful, and thrives when given ownership.
You’d be a good fit if:
- You have 1-2 years of SaaS sales, have done outbound prospecting, OR have worked on a political campaign for a cycle or two or for a nonprofit;
- You think in campaigns, not tasks — and you love building multi-touch strategies to win attention and meetings;
- You’re creative about getting people’s attention (and a demo on the calendar);
- You execute relentlessly. You don’t wait for permission.
- You follow up until you hear “yes” or “no.” Polite, persistent, never sloppy.
- You’re organized and reliable with your calendar, your CRM, and your time;
- You like having a number to beat each month — and hitting it.
Bonus points if:
- You’re familiar with tools like ActBlue, NGP VAN, or other fundraising tech;
- You nerd out on Go To Market strategy and use of tools such as Clay or any lead-gen automation tools and others to creatively identify and connect with prospects;
- You have a million creative ideas on how to use AI to make you more efficient and effective at your job;
- You love pulling together lunches, dinners, and happy hours for current and potential clients and have the diligence to set them up on a monthly cadence.
- You’ve ever created a sequence, playbook, or cold email template that actually worked.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to talk. Apply here.
We can move from an intro phone call to an offer within a week
What You’ll Do
You’ll run the entire sales process—from the first cold email to the Customer Success handover for onboarding —and keep improving it as you go.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
-
Prospect and qualify. Build smart target lists, reach out, and get decision-makers on a demo.
-
Run demos that convert. Show campaigns how much money they lose without Numero and how quickly they can fix it.
-
Close clean deals. Move prospects to signature with clear next steps, no end-of-month fire drills.
-
Keep the pipeline real. Log every touch, update stages promptly, and forecast without sandbagging.
-
Tune the playbook. Test new outreach angles, track results, and share what works so the team can copy it.
Within the first month, you’ll learn about our products and customers by:
- Joining product demos to learn how and why campaigns choose Numero;
- Shadowing Customer Success onboards and calls to see what happens after they sign;
- Can run a demo solo by Day 30
Within the second month, you’ll build your own sales pipeline by:
- Building your pipeline from inbound and reaching out to new campaigns and finance teams;
- Testing 3+ outbound strategies and doubling down on what converts;
- Developing relationships with key stakeholders at new and existing clients;
- Closing your first deals;
- Working with our CEO to develop your sales strategy;
- Continuously updating and maintaining healthy pipeline activity;
- Serving as the main point of contact for prospective clients and collaborating with our Customer Success team;
- Keeping your pipeline and CRM clean and up to date.
Within the third month, you’ll own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close:
- Fully owning the sales cycle for each client, from first touch to signed deal;
- Pipeline ≥ 3× monthly quota, forecast accuracy within ±10 %
- Cultivating long-term client relationships and driving account growth;
- Creating and maintaining process docs like playbooks and pipeline tracking systems;
- Providing feedback to co-founders and the Customer Success team on client needs, trends, and the market landscape;
- Continuously innovating on outbound — cold emails, LinkedIn, text, events — and tracking results.
How We’ll Support You
- Access to every past sequence, deck, and call recording—steal what you like.
- Fast feedback from the CEO and Customer Success on deals in flight.
- Freedom to test tools (Clay, Apollo, GPT prompts, events—whichever moves the needle).
If you like clear goals, quick feedback, and room to try new ideas, you’ll do well here.
What we value
We care more about how you work than where you’ve worked. Here’s what makes someone successful here:
-
Fast learners, fast movers. You pick things up quickly and act on what you’ve learned. You don’t need a long runway.
-
Bias toward action. You don’t wait for perfect. You follow up fast, test ideas, and move deals forward without overthinking.
-
Direct, thoughtful communication. You speak plainly, ask good questions, and share what you’re seeing in the field. You’re not afraid to push back if something doesn’t make sense.
-
Follow-through + discipline. You keep your CRM clean, your follow-ups tight, and your pipeline real. You take pride in not letting anything slip.
-
Pride in your work. Whether it’s a cold email or a final proposal, you take the extra two minutes to get it right.
