Role Description:

As our Sales Engineering Lead, you will play an instrumental role in bridging the gap between our technical team and our prospective clients. You'll be at the forefront, showcasing our product's value proposition, demonstrating its capabilities, and understanding our clients' unique needs to provide tailored solutions. Your technical prowess will ensure you translate intricate technical details into tangible benefits for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Expertise: Gain comprehensive knowledge of our product suite, being the go-to expert for demonstrations and technical consultations.

  • Client Demos: Conduct engaging and customized product demonstrations to potential customers, showcasing the unique value our solutions bring.

  • Technical Liaison: Work closely with the product and technical teams to convey feedback from the field and collaborate on potential enhancements or custom solutions for clients.

  • Solution Crafting: Understand prospect needs and design tailored solutions using our products, ensuring their challenges are met with our technology.

  • Sales Enablement: Support the sales team with technical insights and guidance, helping them understand and navigate the technical aspects of the sales cycle.

  • Product Marketing: Leverage your unique customer perspective to share Rutter’s perspective on industry changes, emerging technologies, and trends in commerce enablement and B2B fintech space to build our brand as an industry thought leader

Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable experience with APIs, front-end architecture, and making Postman calls.

  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the commerce enablement and B2B fintech space.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple, client-friendly manner.

  • B2B SaaS: 4+ years of experience in B2B SaaS Sales Engineering role

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Compensation

  • If performed in New York, the total on-target earnings cash compensation range for this role is $150,000 - $225,000.

  • Our actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to you, including your skill set, years of experience, and geographic location.

Technology

Rutter is an infrastructure product that runs on Typescript, Node, PostgresQL, TypeORM, and is distributed on multiple AWS instances (we use Heroku and GitHub Actions for deployment). Our main technical challenge is building a scalable, abstract, and realtime API abstraction across the third-party APIs we work with.
