Job description: The position covers all topics related to embedded software development, low-level communication protocols, and system optimization. You'll be responsible for implementing and improving software solutions, optimizing communication between components, and ensuring system stability. Your work will involve network communication, protocol implementation, and performance tuning to guarantee a high level of reliability for HyLight systems.

The mission : You'll work closely with the tech team to develop and enhance embedded systems, focusing on networking, protocol implementation, and performance improvements. This is a hands-on role where you will take full ownership of software architecture and development, ensuring seamless integration of all communication systems. The HyLight team is expanding with new challenges, including steerable drones, advanced networking solutions, and mission-critical software improvements.

Personal note from Josef (CTO): As a Software Developer at HyLight, your expertise in PX4 and QGC will be crucial for our technical advancements. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing efficient communication protocols, add features on PX4 and QGC, and ensuring robustness. If you enjoy working on drivers, network protocols, and system-level programming, this is the perfect opportunity. Our team is still small (17 people), meaning you will have a real impact on the company's growth and innovation!

Profile required:

Technical skills required :

• Engineering background or equivalent, with a passion for system programming.
• C++ and C (at least 2 years of experience or similar).
• Add custom features to QGC and PX4
• Work with Qt framework
• Hands-on experience with performance optimization and debugging tools.

Conditions : Start of contract as soon as possible, remuneration based on profile (flexible – if in doubt, apply!). This position will evolve with increasing responsibilities and collaboration with the entire Technical and Regulatory team.
