We’re building Helium to automate the end-to-end process of generating and experimenting on new in-app experiences.

We’re starting by automating generating onboarding flows for consumer apps, then will expand into other experiences across the app. We work with some of the largest, fastest-growing consumer apps, serving Helium experiences to millions of users worldwide.

• This is a full-time, in-person role based in San Francisco - we work from the office 6 days a week (Mon-Sat)
• You must be based in the Bay Area or willing to relocate before starting.
• We require US work authorization, but are open to O-1 visa sponsorship for truly exceptional candidates.

What You’ll Do

We’re looking for full-stack talent that can help support our work on our frontend application and backend server stack. Specifically:

• Make contributions to a Next.js App, improving the frontend components, improving latency and data fetching, and making necessary database/API improvements on the backend.
• Build features with minimal supervision
• Creating tests, for both frontend and backend operations.
• Creating UI tests that can test the functionality of UI components using Pupeteer or Playwright
• Work directly with the founders on building the future of continuously improving software

What We’re Looking For

You’ll write and ship full-stack features end to end — from frontend UI, to backend logic, to the database and infra.

We’re still a small team, and the product is early — you won’t just be building features; you’ll help shape the trajectory of the company and the future of AI development.

Requirements

• You have 4+ years of engineering experience, with a strong track record of shipping real products.
• You’ve built and owned complex full-stack systems end to end, not just small pieces.
• You’re comfortable with ambiguity, unblock yourself, and make progress without waiting on perfect specs.
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-trust startup environment and like wearing multiple hats.
• You’ve worked with our stack (See below)

Bonus

• You’ve built or integrated with LLM-based tools and have hands-on experience with AI workflows.
• You’ve been a founder or early-stage engineer before, and care deeply about product.

Our stack is:

• Next.js (React), typescript, tailwindcss, React-Query and Zustand
• Backend: Supabase/Postgres
• Service(s): Python (fastapi, redis fly.io, docker)

Very nice to have:

• Experience with Apple’s app store apis
• Dashboard/embedded BI tool familiarity
