What we are looking for:

As Chief of Staff at Garage, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping our future– driving impact across every aspect of the business. This role is to do whatever it takes to win, from hiring strategy to managing customer relationships. We’re looking for an ambitious generalist that can blend high-level strategy with hands-on execution. You’ll work directly with the CEO, CTO, and other founding members to help build out our team and product.

Key responsibilities:

• Driving and executing strategic initiatives– You’ll be handed ambiguous problems that will require qualitative and quantitative analysis to propose and execute solutions. Examples include hiring plans, market research, and spending time with our users.
• Serve as a trusted sounding board to the CEO and leadership team, providing insights and recommendations, and partnering on setting and tracking company priorities
• Drive operational alignment– You’ll ensure teams stay focused on the right priorities by supporting financial planning, company-wide communications, and improving KPI tracking. You’ll streamline execution and remove bottlenecks to ensure everyone has the visibility they need to make informed decisions, quickly.
• Support CEO responsibilities– We are a lean team, and no task is too small. Lead executive tasks including creating board decks, pulling monthly reports, and recruiting for key hires. Act as the CEO’s delegate in high-priority meetings and initiatives.

The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $170,000 USD base + equity + benefits. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
