About the role

Company Overview:

Lugg is an on-demand moving and furniture delivery service committed to making moving and delivery easy, efficient, and stress-free. We connect customers with Luggers to handle everything from home moves to facebook marketplace pickups. As part of our team, you’ll contribute to a growing, dynamic brand that puts customer convenience and high-quality service at its core.

Role Summary:

We’re looking for a SEO & LLM Optimization Specialist to own and elevate our organic-growth strategy. You’ll blend traditional SEO best practices with emerging AI/LLM optimization tactics, crafting content that ranks in Google and shows up as citation-worthy answers in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Bing Chat, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a holistic SEO strategy across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms with a focus on both national search growth and hyperlocal visibility in Lugg’s active metro markets.
  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research and competitive audits for both conventional search intents and natural-language queries, identifying and prioritizing content optimization opportunities to improve visibility in Google and LLM-based tools.
  • Structure and optimize content into bite-sized, LLM-friendly formats (FAQs, How-Tos, Q&A blocks), implement and A/B test FAQ/HowTo schema markup, and iterate to maximize inclusion in generative AI responses.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics using Google Analytics (GA4), Search Console, Ahrefs, and custom dashboards to diagnose technical SEO issues (crawl errors, redirects, broken links, Core Web Vitals) and provide clear, data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Manage and optimize on-page elements, including meta tags, headers, image optimization, URL structure, and internal linking to enhance search engine crawling and indexing. Develop and refine city-specific landing pages and ensure optimization for high-intent local queries.
  • Lead strategic link-building and digital outreach campaigns leveraging partnerships, digital PR, and targeted content initiatives to grow domain authority, drive referral traffic, and elevate overall search visibility.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience with clear examples of impact on traffic, rankings, or conversions.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI/LLM platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) and experience optimizing content for AI-driven search and discovery.
  • Proficiency with core SEO tools, including Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Ahrefs and/or SEMrush.
  • Experience with hyperlocal SEO, including optimizing Google Business Profiles, managing location-specific landing pages, and improving visibility in the local map pack.
  • Ability to structure and optimize content for LLM citation using techniques like bite-sized formatting, schema markup, and FAQ/HowTo blocks.
  • Strong technical SEO knowledge, including site architecture, indexing, page speed optimization, and crawlability.
  • Clear, analytical thinker with excellent project management skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Curious and proactive learner who stays up-to-date with evolving SEO and AI trends.
  • Background in content strategy, journalism, or technical writing is a plus.

What We Offer:

  • Fully remote work environment
  • Be part of a fast-growing software company
  • Room to grow as the team grows
  • Competitive time off and benefits policy
