About Nira Energy
-
Nira’s mission is to convert the US power grid to be 100% fossil-free.
-
Nira is a software platform that helps renewable energy developers (solar/wind/storage) de-risk their project portfolio.
- We focus on accurately estimating the cost to interconnect new projects to the electric grid (aka the Interconnection Process). Developers can be on the hook for millions in grid upgrade costs - our tools help them navigate that risk.
-
We’re a profitable, mission-driven company - we’re growing fast and looking for passionate people to join us.
About the role
As Nira’s Junior Customer Engagement Manager, you be the front line of customer engagement - supporting users, onboarding new customers, and helping them succeed with our platform. You’ll also work cross-functionally with our product and engineering teams to drive continuous improvements in our customer experience.
We’re looking for someone who is:
-
Technically inclined to understand power systems and explain our tools to both technical and non-technical users
-
Customer-focused, communicative, and motivated to help people
-
Passionate about climate tech, clean energy, and making an impact.
This is a junior-level role with lots of opportunity to grow!
What you’ll do
-
Lead onboarding sessions with new customers - showing them how to get value from our platform.
-
Provide responsive, thoughtful support - troubleshoot customer questions and resolve issues in a timely manner
-
Keep our documentation fresh, especially when new features launch or customer workflows evolve
-
Assist with customer communications, like product update emails and FAQs with clarity and empathy
-
Collaborate with our product teams, surfacing customer insights, suggesting improvements, and contributing to platform enhancements.
About you
-
1-3 years experience in the energy industry - ideally renewable developers, electric utilities, power systems, or related
-
Strong technical literacy - you don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable working in a technical environment
-
Innately curious self-guided learner, who can identify your own knowledge gaps and find the resources to fill them
-
A customer-centric, approachable mindset and a desire to always provide a positive experience for our customers
-
Able to juggle multiple priorities, stay organized, and follow through on committments
-
Excellent communicator, written and verbal, with strong attention to tone and clarity
-
Excited to play a pivotal role in scaling a climate tech company to the next level!
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with interconnection studies or grid modeling tools
- Experience using customer support or documentation tools (Hubspot, Constant Contact)
- Prior work at a startup or fast-growing company
If you’re ready to help accelerate the transition to 100% fossil-free power generation and want to help our customers derisk their renewable project portfolios, we want to hear from you!
