Text Blaze saves time and increases comms quality by automating repeated tasks. Users save smart templates and insert them anywhere on the web using keyboard shortcuts. Templates can include placeholders, logic, dynamic fields, integrations with other apps, and more.

We are looking for a strong founding team engineer to own the end-to-end development of our Windows and macOS desktop applications.

At Text Blaze, ownership includes both the tech and the product.

On the tech side, you should be a great desktop app developer. Specifically, you should:

• Be proficient in MSVC++ and the Win32 APIs on Windows and/or Objective-C and the Core Foundation framework on macOS
• Be proficient in manual memory management and multi-threading
• Be able to profile or decompile third-party applications to address compatibility issues
• Be able to think laterally to troubleshoot system-level issues
• Experience with system-level UI Automation/Accessibility APIs is a plus

On the product side, you should:

• Love talking to users and working out how to solve their problems
• Have an eye for design and be comfortable designing your own UIs and own solutions

As a member of our founding team, you'll have a substantial impact on our product, strategy, and culture. You'll continuously innovate on new challenging problems, all while working comfortably from anywhere in the world.

Our tech stack is:

• JavaScript and React on the front end
• Google Platform on the backend with extensive use of BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Firestore and Cloud Storage

We take a rigorous but pragmatic approach to our systems. We want to keep things simple and easy to maintain with minimal levels of abstraction or complexity. We're talking complex problems, so that's not always possible but we're looking for people who share those goals.
