About Martin

Martin is real-life JARVIS. You can text, call or email Martin. He manages your inbox, calendar, to-dos, notes, phone calls, reminders, and more. It is the most advanced AI personal assistant on the market, light years ahead of Siri and Alexa.

5 months since launch, Martin has completed over 500,000 tasks for 30,000 users, and our user base is growing 10% every week. We are funded by top investors like Y-Combinator and Pioneer Fund, and notable angels like the co-founder of DoorDash and former Chief Product Officer of Uber.

Our team is lean but effective, with a culture of shipping fast and obsessing over user experience. We are looking for incredibly ambitious AI engineers + product engineers to join us in creating the most impactful consumer product since the iPhone.

About the role
Skills: Python, ML

We are on a mission to build real-life JARVIS — a personal AI that can do everything a human assistant can, given natural language instructions. If we succeed, Martin will be the revolutionary consumer product the world has been waiting for since the iPhone.

We launched 6 months ago, and Martin’s capabilities are already light years ahead of legacy assistants like Siri and Alexa. Martin has already executed hundreds of thousands of tasks for over 30,000 users ranging from drafting emails, to scheduling meetings, to making phone calls.

Our company is profitable and funded by top seed investors, including Y-Combinator and Pioneer Fund, and our user base is growing extremely fast.

Come join our founding team in San Francisco as one of our first hires. You’ll have a large impact on the direction of our company and our product, which will be reflected in significant equity compensation. We are building in one of the fastest moving industries ever, and you will have endless opportunities to learn and grow.

If you're passionate about tackling unsolved technical challenges and eager to shape the future of consumer technology, we’d love to hear from you!

Founding AI Engineer

We are looking for a founding AI engineer with a specialization in agents to help us improve our AI orchestration layer. This will involve designing, implementing, and testing agentic workflows that enable Martin to execute tasks with increasing depth and reliability.

For example, if a user asks Martin to “find and book me a dentist appointment,” how do you reliably orchestrate Martin to research nearby dentists, make calls to their offices, review options with the user, and finally schedule an appointment over email?

Our ideal candidate is a relentless builder who’s shipped AI agents to production and isn’t intimidated by deep, unsolved technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Extensive experience building AI agents
  • SF-based or able to relocate to SF

Bonus:

  • Proficient in full stack development (Python FastAPI and NextJS, or something similar)
  • Experience developing and scaling production applications

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and improve our AI agent orchestration layer to enable Martin to execute increasingly complex tasks
  • Expand our testing suite + benchmarks to evaluate Martin’s tool use and response accuracy
  • Research and improve Martin’s long term memory architecture, so Martin can ingest and maintain large amounts of general and task-specific instructions and preferences
  • Collaborate with product engineers to build a pristine user experience for Martin’s task execution flow
Technology

Web: NextJS Mobile: Swift for iOS and React Native for Android Backend: Python FastAPI
