OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW


Role Overview

As Customer Operations Lead, you’ll own the execution of our freight audit service — ensuring that every invoice is audited on time and delivered with quality. You’ll build and manage a small but mighty team of Customer Operations Associates and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to drive operational excellence.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a core function of the business, contribute to process design and automation, and play a key role in delivering value to some of the largest shippers and freight forwarders in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Service Delivery: Oversee the daily execution of freight audit operations across multiple enterprise customers.
  • Build & Manage the Team: Hire, train, and coach a team of Customer Operations Associates.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Define and implement repeatable processes, set SLAs, and continuously improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Product to identify automation opportunities and improve internal tools. Work with CS to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Analyze & Act: Track key operational metrics and lead problem-solving initiatives when things go off-track.
  • Be the Voice of Execution: Represent the operations team internally, advocate for the needs of your team, and contribute to company-wide discussions around scaling and service quality.

Qualifications

In addition to the following skills, we are looking for PROBLEM SOLVERS with an entrepreneurial mindset:

  • 6+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or service delivery — ideally with client-facing elements.
  • Proven ability to manage people, build systems, and scale execution.
  • Obsessed with process improvement and operational KPIs.
  • A high bar for quality, balanced with pragmatism and speed.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to align multiple teams around execution.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity — you can figure it out, own it, and drive results.
