Dev Ops Engineer

Salaries at the top of benchmarks, with significant equity ownership and generous benefits
Founders are recent Harvard grads with quant experience at Jane Street and BoA and years of experience as sharp sports bettors
$300B annually bet on sports in the US and the size of the market is rapidly growing, particularly given the opportunity for operators to capitalize on the sweepstakes business model
Currently the only way to bet is with retail sportsbooks which have egregious margins, discriminatory and inefficient practices, and a stale betting experience
Novig is a sports prediction market that guarantees users the best lines by allowing them to play directly against friends or the market, rather than against the house, making the wagering experience more efficient , fair , and, most importantly, profitable

What will you do?

As our first Dev Ops Engineer, you’ll lead infrastructure efforts to ensure Novig is fast, reliable, and scalable as we prepare for the next phase of growth.

Build and manage robust CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing and release workflows
Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and other vendors as needed
Monitor and optimize system performance using key metrics, logs, and telemetry data
Improve resource utilization and system reliability through observability and fine-tuned scaling strategies
Work cross-functionally with engineers to ensure rapid, secure, and stable deployments
Automate infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform
Manage dockerized container clusters
Ensure system security, uptime, and resilience as we grow

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

Preferred 2+ years of professional experience, ideally at a Series A or later startup
Build and manage robust CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing and release workflows
Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
Deep understanding of CI/CD systems and modern DevOps practices
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
Excellent communication skills and a startup mindset—comfortable wearing many hats
Bonus: Experience in high-frequency trading or real-time applications
