Slash is on a mission to become the largest commercial issuer in America.
We offer businesses:
Slash is building the future of business banking, one industry at a time. We believe businesses deserve financial infrastructure tailored to how they actually operate. That's why we're creating a new category of business banking. We combine the reliability of traditional banking (high yields, competitive rewards, and comprehensive security) with industry-specific features that make businesses more efficient, more competitive, and more profitable.
Started in 2021, Slash is one of the fastest growing fintechs in the world and we power over three billion dollars a year in business purchasing across numerous industries. We're backed by some of the best investors in the world including Menlo Ventures, NEA, Y Combinator, Stanford University, and the founders of Tinder and Plaid. Slash is headquartered in San Francisco, and has a strong in-person culture.
Slash is, at its core, a technology company and is on a mission to build the best engineering team in the world. We’re looking for a Platform Engineer focused on Developer Infrastructure to build the internal systems for developers that power product velocity at Slash.
You’ll be responsible for the developer experience across our monorepo — from CI, to code generation and dev tooling, to infrastructure around our internal financial ledger and event systems. You’ll work closely with product engineers to eliminate bottlenecks, create guardrails, and make it feel effortless to build, test, and ship financial software.
This role is ideal for engineers who love building for other engineers — especially those who believe great infra is quiet, elegant, and built to scale with the team. Your work will directly shape how quickly and safely we can move as we grow.
Own and improve the developer experience across our monorepo — including build speed, typechecking, testing infra, and CI/CD pipelines
Design and maintain internal tooling around our financial ledger , eventing systems, and product scaffolding
Identify and eliminate friction in local development, onboarding, and deployment workflows
Contribute to internal libraries and codegen tools that reduce duplication and make shipping product safer
Drive best practices in DX, code health, and developer productivity across the company
Enjoys building for engineers — and has strong opinions and good taste on what makes great DX
Writes deep, expressive TypeScript — and enjoys pushing the type system to model complex behavior
Has built or contributed to internal frameworks, shared libraries, or codegen tools
Opportunity for high growth
High autonomy + ownership culture
Comprehensive health + benefits plan
