Your mission in this role
You’ll own the development of battery-science AI at Ohm. This is an unparalleled opportunity for an exceptional thinker to shape the trajectory of the battery industry by embedding scientific knowledge into AI agents.
You’ll:
- Build and train Ohm’s AI agents in battery science - and deliver a delightful, reliable user experience
- Serve as technical lead for some of the most important battery teams in the West, becoming a trusted partner
- Help customers extract key insights from battery data
- Work closely with our AI engineers to improve Ohm
We might be a fit for you if:
- You are passionate about the battery industry and pushing the boundaries of what is possible with AI
- You’ve worked with battery data in industry (e.g. at a cell manufacturer or automotive OEM). You are the person that your team comes to for help with complicated battery data analyses
- You deeply understand Li-ion cell behaviour and battery degradation
- You are skilled in Python and time-series analysis (pandas, numpy, matplotlib)
- You communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and take extreme ownership
- You push for excellence and care deeply about your team and mission - you will do what it takes to achieve greatness
- You are AI-first in your mindset and workflows
Qualifications
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in electrochemistry, physics, chemical engineering, materials science, or similar
- 2+ years industry experience working with battery data
- Strong python skills and experience building battery models
- Experience using latest AI tools and concepts including AI agents
