About Miracle

At Miracle, our mission is to improve healthcare using technology—starting by accelerating clinical trials to bring new therapeutics to patients faster.

Miracle serves as the control room for clinical trials. Our platform consolidates data from multiple trial systems into real-time dashboards, providing automated insights that empower clinical-stage biopharmaceutical companies to streamline operations, reduce manual workflows, and accelerate data-driven decision-making. We power clinical trials across a wide variety of therapeutic areas, including CNS disorders (i.e. autism, social anxiety disorder, Parkinson's), rare diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and neuromuscular conditions.

Already profitable and growing rapidly, Miracle has helped biopharma companies save 3–4 months in clinical trials—driving faster FDA approvals and ultimately improving patient outcomes.

About the role
Skills: Python, SQL, Data Modeling, Data Analytics

Miracle is building the data backbone for modern clinical trials. We empower clinical-stage biopharmaceutical companies by unifying disparate trial systems and delivering real-time, automated insights that optimize trial execution.

Already profitable and rapidly growing, Miracle serves as the “control room” for clinical trials, reducing time to FDA approval and improving patient outcomes.

We're currently supporting trials across all phases and therapeutic areas, including Parkinson’s, sleep apnea, cardiovascular, and rare diseases, for leading biopharma companies.

About the Role

As a Founding Data Solutions Engineer, you speak both clinical operations and data analytics fluently.

You’ve been in study meetings, understand protocol deviations and data locks, and now spend your days in SQL and Python. You’ll work directly with biotech clients to turn fragmented clinical data into insights that help finish studies faster.

This isn’t an internal analytics role. You’ll operate in a client-facing, high-ownership capacity, collaborating directly with biopharma teams at the forefront of biotech innovation. Your work will directly impact trial timelines, regulatory outcomes, and patient access to life-changing therapies.

If you’ve been in the trenches of clinical ops and want to build modern, scalable data solutions that accelerate drug development, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’re Looking For

  • An opportunity to own meaningful problems end-to-end and work closely with biotech teams
  • A role that blends clinical trial experience with technical depth
  • A rapidly growing team that values speed, clarity, and user-focused execution
  • A chance to help build scalable systems that redefine best practices in clinical trials

What You’ll Do

  • Build data workflows and visualizations for clinical studies using SQL and Python
  • Translate raw EDC/IRT/RTSM/lab data into clean, actionable insights
  • Work closely with CEO and engineering team to align product direction with end user workflows
  • Templatize solutions to scale analytics across the biopharma industry
  • Help onboard new studies and support scalable data delivery

What you will need to succeed:

  • Have clinical trial experience, and now working full-time in a data science/analytics role
    • Bonus if you’ve worked on Phase 2/3 clinical trials, whether at a biopharma company, CRO, or research site
  • Are fluent in SQL and Python
  • Ability to partner directly with biotech clients and own deliverables independently
  • Comfort in fast-moving environments where communication, clarity, and execution matter
  • Don’t need hand-holding. You’re proactive, ask the right questions, and ship fast

Our Culture

At Miracle, we believe in smart, sustainable work over burnout. We rapidly iterate on our products, remain laser-focused on user needs, and have fun as we build with purpose.

We work together in our San Francisco office three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).

Our culture is built on a few key principles:

  • No Judgment: We encourage questions and open dialogue to foster innovation.
  • Open Communication & Transparency: We share ideas and progress openly, ensuring that we make better decisions together.
  • Have Fun: We strive to make work feel like a collaborative, high-impact class project rather than a grind—complete with team outings like wine tastings at Napa, cheer on the Warriors and Giants together, and more!
Interview Process
  1. Initial Screen (30 min): Intro to learn more about you, our mission, and any questions you have about Miracle.
  2. Technical Take-Home: Build a set of dashboards from sample data (3–4 hours). You’ll have 24 hours once you start.
  3. On-Site in SF: Review your take-home project, discuss the role in more depth, and ensure we’re the right fit for each other.
