Position Overview

We’re hiring a Head of Marketing to lead our marketing strategy and execution as we scale from $10M to $25M in ARR. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll own the marketing funnel and drive measurable growth through campaigns, paid acquisition, content, partnerships, and brand. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who has driven growth in B2B startups, ideally from $5M+ to $25M+ ARR, and deeply understands how to market to startup founders. Former founders or marketers who’ve sold to founders will feel right at home here.

You’ll bring deep expertise in at least one core marketing function (growth, demand gen, or content) and be ready to roll up your sleeves. Bonus if you’ve used HubSpot extensively.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and manage our growth engine that hits ambitious pipeline targets. Partner closely with sales to ensure your pipeline translates directly into revenue.
  • Maximize conversion on Fondo’s website using A/B testing and funnel optimization techniques to convert high-intent visitors.
  • Push the limits of outbound automation, collaborating with engineers and marketers to develop new, scalable approaches to outbound growth.
  • Innovate beyond the B2B marketing playbook. Find creative ways to use AI, automation, and data to drive growth. We want a first-principles thinker, not a checklist executor.
  • Own the brand narrative, content engine, and thought leadership that make Fondo the default accounting partner for startups.
  • Be scrappy and take pride in your work, willing to go deep into the work and get your hands dirty to hit ambitious goals

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in B2B SaaS marketing with experience leading teams.
  • Proven success driving marketing at companies in the $5M–$25M ARR range.
  • Deep expertise in at least one core marketing function (e.g. demand gen, community, content, etc).
  • Track record of delivering scalable lead-gen and growth programs.
  • Experience in marketing to startups and founders. Bonus if you’re a former founder yourself.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot.
  • Exceptional communicator, data-driven decision maker, and creative problem solver -- relentlessly resourceful.
  • Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.
