note: we're in hustle mode. we're shipping as fast as we can. this is not the kind of job you can cruise and 9-5. only apply if you want to grind, work late nights, and be part of a generational company. We are an onsite company (SF), expect a big house where the founders live, free food, beers and cool team activities.
⁉️ What’s it going to be like ⁉️
In Shackleton's famous words: “People wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in the event of success.”
Why tho?
Risk + Excitement + Hard Work == Startup. Sure, you could join a big company and make decent money but it's that constant thrill of hope, the addictive energy that makes Robert and I come back to startups over and over again 😵💫
To thrive here, you’ve got to embrace this delulu universe, where the victories give us hope and the failures make us want it even more. Yes, we work late hours and often deal with some bullshit, but you'll be part of something bigger and even more, you will have a direct impact on EVERYTHING.
If you're ready to roll up your sleeves, identify your own features to build, and find your own problems to solve, then come on in. Grab a beer and a slice of pizza, and dive into creating the future of natural language programming and AI agents. Together, we'll revolutionize the way we work. Green Light. 🟢
***Wordware** is a prompt-first programming language that can be used by non-developers (AI Engineers). We merge concepts like loops, logic and functions from the world of classical programming with the non-deterministic nature of Language Models. It’s exposed in a web-hosted IDE with features like sharing, forking and API deployment.*

This is a full-time, in-person role based in San Francisco (Presidio) - we work from the office 5 days a week.
You must be based in the Bay Area or willing to relocate before starting.
We require US work authorisation , but are open to O-1 visa sponsorship for truly exceptional candidates.
Wordware is an IDE for building AI agents using natural language.
It looks and feels like Notion, but lets you design, test, and deploy AI systems in real time - without writing code.
Our mission is to bring structure and joy to human–AI collaboration.
We’re building a generational company that empowers the next billion knowledge workers to create with AI - not by writing code, but by expressing intent.
We’re backed by Spark Capital, Felicis, and Y Combinator ($30M seed round - the largest in YC history).
We work hard, move fast, and don’t take ourselves too seriously. It’s intense, but it’s also fun - at Wordware, you’ll do the best work of your life alongside people you genuinely like.
tl;dr we're looking for someone to craft our positioning, messaging, and go-to-market for the all-in-one AI development platform. you'll translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling stories that make both engineers and non-technical builders say "holy shit, I need this."
we're building the all-in-one platform for AI development. that means:
a programming language specifically designed for AI, where English meets software engineering
an IDE where notion met vscode and had a baby
deployment options that let you plug directly into products or create automated workflows
a repository where AI agents can be shared, forked, and instantly run
our users range from hardcore engineers to domain experts who've never written a line of code. both groups need to understand how wordware changes the game for them.
AI development is messy, complicated, and full of jargon. most companies either dumb it down with AI buzzwords or get so technical they lose everyone. we need to do something different:
make complex concepts crystal clear without diluting their power
position wordware as the obvious solution to problems people actually have
build a brand that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences
cut through the noise in an increasingly crowded market
owning our positioning and messaging across all channels
crafting our narrative that explains what we're building and why it matters
developing go-to-market strategies for new features and capabilities
working directly with our team to extract the compelling stories behind technical features
creating content that showcases the power of wordware without oversimplifying
managing launch campaigns that generate real excitement, not just noise
building our community strategy to nurture our early adopters and evangelists
defining how we talk about our product to different audiences (from VCs to end users)
collaborating with design and content to ensure brand consistency
you can explain complex technical concepts without sounding like either a corporate robot or a condescending teacher
you've built positioning frameworks that actually get used, not just filed away
you understand developer tools well enough to have opinions about them
you've led product launches that people remembered
you can write copy that makes people feel something
you get excited about AI but can see through the hype
you prefer building a category to just following a playbook
5+ years in product marketing, preferably for technical products or developer tools
experience creating positioning for products with multiple audience segments
proven track record of successful product launches and campaigns
strong portfolio of messaging work that demonstrates your ability to simplify without dumbing down
experience collaborating with technical teams to extract the stories behind features
bonus points if you've marketed AI products or worked with technical founder teams
you'll be joining early, which means big impact and some chaos
we're in SF, you need to be too - no remote for now
you'll work directly with founders who care deeply about how we position the product
sometimes you'll need to turn around campaigns quickly as we iterate
you need to be technical enough to understand our product (seriously)
what you build will shape how the next generation thinks about AI development
our office has a sauna and is 70m from the beach, so bring your surfboard
if you've ever wanted to define how the world talks about a new category of technology, this is your chance.
send us your portfolio and tell us about a time you took something complex and made it compelling without dumbing it down.
p.s. we're backed by Spark Capital, Felicis, and Y Combinator ($30m seed) but we still work like a seed startup. the vision is massive, and now we need the right words to share it.
