About the role

  • Mutiny is seeking a Head of Product to partner with the founders in building a company set to dominate GTM.
  • You'll own strategy, lead and continue to build a high-performing PM & Design team, and shape a platform that could hit $1b ARR.
  • This is the most important hire and partner to the founders in the entire company. 
  • They need a hungry, hands-on partner in crime who is relentless and wants to win.

  • Domain/Product Expertise
    • Experience building and taking a product 0-1 either as a founder or at a large company working directly with the founder. 
    • Has built products at a b2b SaaS company that went from early through high growth stage (Series C-E) and can bring relevant best practices.
    • Some experience with business models/GTM side. 
    • Views design as critical and has a strong POV.
  • Leadership
    • Experience leading teams of at least 3 PMs. 
    • Can push velocity and drive the team toward diligent, hard work. 
    • Simplifier - can get to the crux of customer value and prioritize to win. 
    • Great “sense maker” and decision maker in high ambiguity situations. 
    • Has the confidence and POV to speak up and engage with founders as equals.

Compensation:

Mutiny is proud to offer a competitive compensation package to all full-time employees, including base salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The estimated salary range for this role for US-based employees is $230,000-$300,000. Equity is determined based on level of experience.

Technology

Our stack consists of React, TypeScript, Ruby, and Rails. as well as Redis, Postgres, and Elasticsearch for data storage. Our CTO comes from a product and infrastructure background, bringing an engineering first approach to growth technology.

Some of our challenges include:

  • Building a privacy-first data store that never shares PII or customer data. We leverage data store policies to ensure there are walled gardens between customers and privacy is respected.
  • Architecting low latency data infrastructure that processes millions of events from various data sources to create a unified data layer. We keep latency to a ridiculously low number using a combination of CDN edge caching with Fastly, efficient event processing pipelines, and data store optimizations.
  • Building products that expose machine learning infrastructure for automated segmentation, with an incredibly simple to use interface.
  • Building efficient content delivery libraries for use in the browser, enabling non-technical team members to easily personalize their website. We make use of native browser APIs for efficient DOM rendering using features like MutationObservers, WebWorkers, and hooks for browser layouts.
